occupation: Mom & Artist
kd weave goods chosen: I choose the beldi seaglass glass, white and blue plaid napkins and cream hand towel.
this space: dining room- the heart of the home
what story do you want your home to tell?
My hope for myself, my family and guests is that being in my home will give a sense of peace and calm; for people to walk in and feel their shoulders lower and their breaths deepen. I love to bring in handmade items and vintage goods because I strongly believe there’s an energy when items are made through the hands of passionate people. Each item isn’t just an item, it’s a story passed on. For me, that gives a feeling of comfort and interest in a home.
favorite…
song: Currently anything by Stephen Sanchez. If you aren’t familiar I encourage you to look him up and get tickets for his Fall concert tour. He is incredible live :-)
plant: Oooh, this is tough! For outside, I love yarrow, lavender and Iceberg roses. For inside, Ficus Audrey.
go to recipe:
A sheet pan dinner! I  grab some chicken breasts with lemon, EVOO, S&P, and any veggies I have in the fridge (Typically, onions, bell pepper, sweet potato, asparagus, zucchini, etc). I put it all on the pan and roast it up at 425. You can add some garbanzo beans on the pan as well. It’s easy to put with some rice and/or just put fresh herbs on top with your favorite sauce.
And for a dessert …
we recently started making baked oat bowls. We then fill them with yogurt, fruit and carob chips.
Recipe:
2 bananas, mashed
½ cup of nut butter
¼ tsp salt
¼ cup honey
1 tsp almond or vanilla extract
1-2 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350. Mash bananas and mix everything together evenly. Butter muffin tin and spoon mixture in pressing down to create a bowl shape. Bake for about 15 min. Then top with your favorites.
gift to give: I love gifting my girlfriends beauty products or a gift basket with a  good quality hand towel (KD Weave, duh!), a candle, a vintage spoon, and a fresh herb plant.
destination: Italy. Always Italy.
